This ultimate island escape offers luxury and privacy amidst pristine beauty. Nowhere else in the UK comes this close to the Caribbean – with a balmy climate, sandy beaches and thriving sub-tropical plant life. Step inside a stylish chic interior adorned by sculptures and paintings by local artists, including Barbara Hepworth, Ivon Hitchens, Julian Trevelyan and Richard Pearce.

Inside

• Style: New England chic meets contemporary Cornwall: All rooms are beautifully furnished in Lloyd loom with Malabar fabrics set against oceanic hues.
• Bedrooms: 25 luxury bedrooms and suites sleep up to 50 guests. 3 suites have 2 bedrooms (the second bedroom only suitable for x2 children), whilst 11 bedrooms can accommodate children in the ‘lounge’ area on sofa beds. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and most have sea views and patios.
• For relaxation: Fling open the patio doors and enjoy the stunning island views and fresh sea air, or chill out in the sauna and jacuzzi.
• For recreation: On the doorstep lies a stunning sandy beach where you can stroll, swim or simply sit and gawp at the scenery. Alternatively, work up a sweat in the gym.

Outside:

Open the door to extensive grounds boasting lush flora that sprawls seawards. Enjoy gob-smacking sea views from your private balcony (in most rooms), or simply make the most of the outdoor heated pool.

Food and Wine

• In-house cuisine: Sumptuous bar and restaurant menus consisting of fresh, local produce. Crab, lobster and vegetables are sourced a stone’s throw from the kitchen.
• Eating out: The Hotel serves up fresh local produce in its award-winning restaurant, or for a café lunch in a lush setting stop at the café in the sub-tropical Abbey Garden. If you fancy a traditional pub atmosphere, good food and local ales head to The Island Inn

• On the map: One of five inhabited islands in a remote archipelago situated 30 miles off the south coast of Cornwall
• By car: Visitors’ cars are not permitted on the island
• By ferry: About 2 hours 40 minutes from Penzance
• By plane: Arrive by helicopter when you fly direct from Penzance, or take the plane from Newquay, Lands End, Bristol or Exeter.
